We try to grow as much of our own food as we can and where this is not possible, we try to source it within a 150 kilometre radius of Fonte de Baixo. Of course, there are somethings that will come from further afield and when this is the case, we think long and hard about the implications behind the purchase.
We believe that food is an important part of a peaceful life and to be in touch with what we eat is vitally important. We only serve vegetarian meals, drawing our inspiration from traditional and modern cuisine and the principles of ayurvedic nutrition. We try to incorporate as much garden produce as possible, when available. Food will always be seasonal and where possible organic. We also cater for special diets (allergies / intolerances, vegan etc.) on request and for a small supplement.
